Tuva is a certified 8(a) SBA small disadvantaged business created in 2013 that specializes in providing information technology services to the federal, civilian, and commercial organizations. Services include networking, enterprise IT, cybersecurity, wireless, logistics and mission support services.

Tuva is a subsidiary of Akima, the government services subsidiary of NANA Regional Corporation, an Alaska Native Corporation owned by approximately 14,700 Iñupiat shareholders.

Well known in the industry as a socially and ethically responsible business, Tuva’s corporate culture is steeped in the values and ethics that flow from its Alaska Native leaders. These values distinguish Tuva as “a corporation for a higher cause,” where a substantial portion of profits are dedicated to elevating the NANA Community of rural North West Alaska and its people to lives of self-sufficiency and a sustainable, productive future.

Tuva is headquartered in Herndon, Virginia and has contracts all throughout the U.S., including Alabama, California, Texas, and Washington. Tuva embrace a customer-focused philosophy. Our History


Dan Hatcher, General Manager

Dan Hatcher brings to Tuva more than 25 years of leadership experience in the U.S. Government and private sector managing operations while delivering complex systems and programs. Prior to his retirement from the U.S. Air Force, Dan served at the White House Communications Agency, The Joint Staff, North American Aerospace Defense Command, and U.S. Northern Command providing technology solutions including data center build outs, Continuity of Operations/Continuity of Business Operations planning and execution, and technology integration for software and hardware solutions. Dan holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Information Systems Management.
